Long enough for even my smaller dog to reach. I have 2 full time dogs and 1 part time dog. I like the fact that these bells have adjustable lengths. The strap is very thick and strong and I don’t see that we will ever have a problem with that at all… being in doggy mouths or being pulled on. The only not so positive thing I have to say is that when the package arrived, one of the bells were missing from the strap. It was not broken or anything; I just had to loop it back on the key chain…

The bells and the strap seem to be a good quality and look like they will hold up. The bells and ring softly or louder if the need arises. We are just beginning to train our dog so they have to be softer until he acclimates to the noise. I am really hoping that these work. My only complaint (why I gave four stars) with this item is it did not come with instructions as to how to train your dog. I had to go online to look up the training. I expected the package would have contained information or…
